Porto have announced the renewal of the contract of former Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas for two more years.

Porto said in a statement on its official website that Casillas renewed his contract with the team for two seasons ending in 2022, pointing out that his contract was scheduled to expire in 2020.

Casillas managed to guard the Portuguese club’s lair to take them to the quarter-finals of the Champions League and are set to face Liverpool in the next round.

It is worth mentioning that the former Spanish international joined Porto in the summer transfer in 2015 from Real Madrid and participated in 149 matches with Porto during the previous four seasons and crowned with the league title and the Portuguese Super Cup.
