Rick Perry’s gold rush: Fort Knox of Texas in the works

According to the Texas Tribune, Gov. Rick Perry (R) is teaming up with State Rep. Giovanni Capriglione in an effort to bring gold back in the hands of Texans. The plan is to move the state’s reserves from New York to the Lone Star State. Former Rep. Ron Paul was a stronger supporter of the gold standard due to the instability of paper currency, but could a Fort Knox of Texas be in the works? Wayne Allyn Root, author of The Ultimate Obama Survival Guide, brings us more.

The only store of value is you and me…albeit you have a little less value than me right now. The goods and services we exchange amongst ourselves has value…gold has no value. A jeweler gives it value when it is shaped. A factory gives it value when it is used to make computer parts. A doctor gives it value when it's used as a nanoparticle but it HAS NO VALUE…case and point if you gave me a truck load of gold for my left foot and I said no that gold would be worthless.

Which means that the value can be manipulated…for instance gold has a use in medicine as a nanoparticle that can burn cancer cells and leave healthy cells untouched…so if that medical treatment used an ounce of finely ground gold to do it is it worth 1600 dollars to you or more…could you give that same ounce of gold to a uneducated person and expect them to do the same thing as a trained doctor? No…stop valuing objects and start valuing people.

ok so stay with debt, thats working perfectly, the banks create it at no cost to them and you work to pay them back, they get as rich as they want and you might someday own a house, then they just steal youre savings any way, gold wont allow that, and id rather find a solution to making real money work than give up money i earn to a pack of fuckheads in suits

No, gold has tons of uses, i'm sure educated or uneducated people of all kinds can figure out a use, that's kind of the beauty of it. Other then that, your rant didn't really make sense to me.

a truck load of gold for your foot? don't get that, but a truck load of gold would be of worth in any form, even a pile under your mattress would make the demand for dollars higher, which increases your purchasing power. You don't have the slightest clue what a money is and you seem really angry. Lots of things are a store of goods, that is the point, paper dollars don't.

Any of those could be used, but time and history have chosen gold and silver as the most common because of there qualities of ease of divisibility, intrinsic value, ease of portability, malleability, scarcity, universality, I think i forgot a few, but some one else will get the point. I know your too dead set against it to hear what I'm saying. But over all, Your just plain wrong.

Texans think they are above the united states. they have never liked it. they have done everything to assure they get a huge amount of military investment to fund what is in fact their militia in preparation for war against eh united states. this latest move is just another notch in their plan for attack on the united states. they know a common currency wont be honored after they attack

for a state that wants to leave the u.s.[look up how much more money they receive from the federal gov .] this is just anther ploy ….

Texas is just another consumer in the gold market. Their gold is an investment for good or ill. Like any other purchaser of gold, Texas has a right to have it in hand, if they want to spent the money to guard it. I am not seeing any sinister attempt to create an independent currency for Texas.

I wouldn't say texas does EVERYTHING right, because our school system is pretty lacking, but I really hope this happens.

JFK executive order 11110. Get rid of the illegal private federal reserve. Allow the US treasury to coin their own silver backed currency without debt. JFK was implementing this plan in the middle of 1963 – he was murdered (and his family) by the men who own and control the federal reserve about 1/2 a year later. This order is on the books – its up to Americans to force their government to use it. Get rid of illegal private federal reserve notes and get rid of derivatives

The worldwide illegal derivative market is 750 trillion dollars – 10 x worldwide GDP, Warren Buffet calls – weapons of mass financial destruction and was the cause of the 08 financial meltdown. The 08 bailouts were 10s of trillions of dollars to bailout this retarded gambling market for the super rich. Why are Americans, those who produce and work for their money, bailing out a small group of elite billionarie bankers who produce nothing of economic value?
