Rand Paul decries US strike against Syria

One of the most vocal opponents of President Obama’s proposal to launch a military strike on Syria, Senator Rand Paul (R-Kentucky), was not convinced by the evidence provided at the Senate hearing dedicated to the president’s plan. Despite testimony from Secretary of State Kerry, Pentagon chief Hagel and the chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff, Senator Paul remained a staunch opponent of any military action.

I'm Glad my district congressman ~ Dana Rohrabacher
is thus Far against an Attack on Syria at this time !
I agree NOT ATT for sure (though I haven't seen all alleged evidence)

Dana says "it's a Big step in the wrong Direction"
&
If we get sucked into the Syrian conflict there will be a heavy price to pay in both treasure and blood and the American people have shed too much blood in that region already”

That's like what america did in 2006 and 2008. They ran to the Democrats to save them from the Republicans. As soon as Russia/China take power, the whole process will continue.

Well said!! the attack was never a visible one, but here we are starving for money starving for food, that grows free on the meadows…
BM Ambush in the night: 'Cause every time they can reach us,
Through political strategy,
They keep us hungry,
And when you gonna get some food,
Your brother got to be your enemy.

Ugh.. I'm so sick of American activism. Are you people ever going to come back to reality and realize that peaceful protest is an oxymoron and never ever ever ever ever going to work in an unfair and violent world? Are you ready to stop living a pipe dream and start fighting for you right to freedom? If not then shut the fuck up and accept your slavery because talking and "spreading awareness" doesn't do shit without action.

At such an attack with nerve gas you can not touch the victims, you can not enter the area without protective clothing; what did we sea: people touching victims, wearing no protective clothing

Woah! Did no one notice that when Rand Paul talked about the rebels, he made sure to sneer over the fact that many of the rebels were Islamic?
Rand Paul has some good ideas but if you think that he's going to honor the constitutional separation of church and state if he's given more power than you haven't been paying attention.

Is anybody listening to this guy??!! He is the only one making any sense! Who is going insane? Me? Or everyone else rushing into this?

This "intervention" could seriously blow up.

I don't necessarily care much for this guy. That said, I don't know what his reasoning is but going to war is profits for private non-democratic corporate government. Taxpayers are bled and global private capitalist oligarchs take their money. As usual it's presented as a humanitarian act but where was the United States during Rwanda? It's a money grab by the banks and the military industrial complex, both tools for capitalist oligarchs to extract the people's wealth.

Print out an enlistment form from WhatReallyHappened. com copy it and give it to all the warmongers!

Beta K

I would certainly say you are more on the right track. The U.S. government has been deeply corrupted by global capitalists. It's so sad, the ignorance of the soldiers who truly believe they are fighting for their country.

Beta K

I don't like many things he says but I agree with him that it's an atrocity but the world is filled with atrocity. What resources does Exxon mobile want to get their private corporate government profiteering hands on after further draining the future of American citizens?

There are atrocities around the world and the USA is directly and indirectly responsible for most of them.

Rand Paul will always support corruption that happened in Russia and the eastern world since the fall of the wall and adhere to people like Assad that bomb and torture protesters, only to then to escalate violence in order to call the opposition "terrorists" and use exaggerated conspiracy theories as a mask to validate his claims.

Can't believe that Asperger has become widespread now that people believe conspiracy theories to be "factual".

you got that right !!

Why don't the presidents that got issues with each other take off their ties every time they meet and sort the problem out. Like men. Why the hell must a country be bombed and innocents die every time . I'm sick of it. And stupid soldiers are to blame too. You gotta be dumb to get urself trained to fight some1 you got no beef with

Rand Paul is not willing to filibuster war!

Simple Living
Guest

I rather work with Assad than than groups Islamic rebels. This attack will serve no good purpose and waste a lot of our resources (paying for more war) which should be put to resolve issues at home. Americans should protest the potential strike and not allowing any president to go to war without congress approval. However I am seeing a lot of international community are against the strike.

It's so funny how a country like USA with its mastery of moviemaking is really going to war over a "c" grade YouTube video production of all edged chemical attack. Please ……will some film director from Hollywood come up to debunk those YouTube video as fake and propaganda which were probably funded by USA themselves.

Junior Duff

hahaha…maybe you should run for president you idiot. War is inevitable, innocent people will die no matter what. And your so called "stupid soldiers" will be there to protect your ignorant ass when something happens. Humans will always strive and fight for power to control and ensure the survival of it race.

So when it is in America's interests then the 'atrocities' of Dictators are acceptable 'justification' for wars… but when it's *not* in America's interests, then… "well it's a 'shame' but there's always been atrocities"… nothing to do with 'US' (except the ones that are)… I'm certainly not saying they 'should' go to war, just mindful of the double standards one sees daily on the world stage of 'politics'.

Mauro Augusto Mexia

I'd take this "pure scum" that is right about foreign policy any day before another "pure scum" that is 100% wrong and lies 100% of the time… like fucking Obama!

Jononutoob

The major issue is the US is a major cause behind many of these dictators and atrocities. Look at the US in South America and our long standing support of Egypt, Saudis, etc.

do not believe it SERIOUSLY, The Strike is just to strengthen and polish the Criminal Syrian Regimen and show it as an Arab Hero to stay in power because it is the best to protect the Northern borders of Israel(as well as his Father)+Hizbullah + Iran + Iraq(Yes do not wonder, it is among the Hidden facts),Strike takes only bombarding few Gasoline Tanks with old Tomas and expose the Pebbles as a lairs and they are pro-American, and the regimen as an enemy while the opposite is the TRUTH.

In the current Congress, 219 of 234 Republicans in the House and 9 of 41 Republican in the Senate signed the Norquist tax pledge not to raise taxes for the rich (including Rand Paul). Put an end to private control of government. Google "list Tax Payer Protection Pledge signers 113th Congress" and click on "Taxpayer Protection Pledge – Amazon S3" for a full list of Grover Norquist politicians; also, "State Taxpayer Protection Pledge List_CURRENT_2013" ….Vote them out !
