I love this segment, Dr. Paul. It's helpful to learn from a libertarian who is more informed on issues than most

It's still a long way away and I've not given it much thought but, if I had to vote right now for POTUSA I would write in Ron Paul.

0:58 Is conservation something that the government should be involved in?
3:38 Do you believe in global warming?

I love Ron Paul. He doesn't realize that "Art Vandelay" is from Seinfeld.

Ron Paul you're the best. I so resent that you were not made POTUS over the lameness that we have representing us.

I appreciate the good intent of libertarians but to take the example in the video about parks. Mr. Ron Paul mentioned that in a true libertarian system, parks would be under the control of private businesses. That would not happen. Why? Because instead of a park, a private company would be digging for oil, or gold, or they would put-up condominiums because these things make more profit. Businesses are about profit, profit and more profit. Parks do not make anyone a billionaire.

A truly free society would not even have private ownership of land. The morality of the homesteading principle depends on the Lockean Proviso. True property rights can exist only in the products of human labor. Land can never be owned, although secure possession may be justified in some circumstances. John Locke was clear about this. The morality of his homesteading principle depends on the Lockean Proviso, that there be enough land of equal quality left for others to homestead. When the proviso holds then it can be safety assumed that trespassers are really seeking to profit from improvements fixed to… Read more »

Minimum wage hikes may appear to help local economies, but that it because they have gentrifying effects. They lead to significant increases in the costs of local land rent, which pushes the poorest persons out of the neighborhood into cheaper areas they can still support. Increasing the minimum wage in one town often leads to greater unemployment in adjacent areas that did not make the same policy changes.

I do believe that climate change is real. Ocean levels are rising, global and ocean temperatures are rising, ice sheets have been shrinking, extreme events are rising, ocean acidification is occurring, and there's an intense decrease in snow cover, all of which have been growing exponentially since 1950. It must be talked about now. We can't evade it. I don't mean it's the end of our times, but if we don't act now we're gonna suffer dire consequences in the future.
