Why do we "let this happen?" It is strictly because people are terrified to click on news links! Terrified to be classified then rounded up, without trial, indefinitely. I was one of them. I am 100% in respect of law enforcement, they are neighbors and family that only enforce laws. It is the laws that are being passed that we should me aware of.
