I think the movement is bright and will continue to grow albeit extremely slowly. Though with Trump seeming to not care about civil liberties (especially when it comes to surveillance) Libertarianism could get a boost short term

Clinton/Trump where the possibilities from this election. In response to Trumps election, MIC and private prison stock skyrocketed. Investors don't agree with this guy.

Look out in Chicago. I am going to release liberty. Give me some years check for me in 23 years old and a libertarian getting ready to build a community of libertarians.

One things for sure Rand Paul 2020 will massively fail. He has totally stabbed all of his fathers supporters in the back and been the biggest hypocrite most divisive so called libertarian ever. I guarantee you could spend more money on him than Jeb Bush and he will never get any support more than Jeb Bush. He has already crossed anyone who would support his father. He remains in office only because he is a make believe tea party make believe libertarian controlled opposition lap dog on a leash for Mitch McConnell who could never be more powerful due to… Read more »

The future is looking both terrifying and optimistic… I guess it depends just on what prevails and how. There's a lot of good reasons for libertarians to make a big impact. I feel like a combination of internet freedom, Ron Paul's 2012 run that brought libertarianism into the spotlight, and a growing trend of rebellion against the establishment all are showing potential. Plus if we keep getting clinton/trump type runnings, well some 3rd party is going to rise and it looks like a good big L, and even if they never win just having their rise and attention would spread… Read more »

Not to worry, solar cycle 26 will solve all of societies ills and we are entering cycle 25 three years early. I believe we are coming to an end of this lovey interglacial period.

Libertarianism will limp on hemorrhaging people to the Alt-Right because they are sick of showing up so they can lose while virtue signaling that they are willing to stand on principle though the world may burn.

What keeps American workers poor are regressive income and property taxes, various regulation fees, unions, welfare scams etc.. I call welfare programs a scam because it is a scam to benefit various contractors, corporations as well as thousands of state bureaucrats, politicians off the taxpayers funded welfare programs. Overwhelming majority of the poor people are hurt the most by welfare programs because their tax dollars are used to fund a huge bureaucracy, special interests and politicians who hide behind race card to defend it. So; money is taken from one group of poor people who are working very hard to… Read more »

I was wondering what ron paul was up to, since I was a big fan of his back in the day, but this audio is so bad, I can't listen :'(

Dr. Paul, I cannot believe the Oligarchs would allow a loose cannon such as Trump into the political fray without some control. We may all be in for a surprise when the “Trump” administration is complete and the machinery behind the curtain becomes visible. The Oligarchs have been dismantling worker’s rights and disassembling democracy since the National Association of Manufacturers went to war with Roosevelt’s New Deal; what makes people think that Trump is independent of the Oligarchs and going to work for the interests of the majority. I’m afraid that many Americans will be disappointed when theyrealize that Trump… Read more »

Libertarian Foreign policy is so vital and needed. I was a neo-con and I'm so thankful I actually started listening and thinking. There is hope. Today's neo-con ( I'm not referring to the establishment but everyday people) will be tomorrows non interventionist I'm proof of this.

What has to happen under a Trump administration before those libertarians who continue to root for him, admit to having buyer's remorse?

According to the Gallup Poll, by the third quarter of 1969, 58% of the American people believed the Vietnam War was a mistake. We all know what happened next.

Trump appears to be continuing Obama's policy with Russia which is to continue the Syrian proxy war against Assad and Russia who wants Assad in for oil pipeline reasons. This while they team up to defeat the mutual threat of ISIS.
