For his part, a military official in the government of Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi: The UAE «completely abandoned the camp of al-Jukhayah south of Hodeidah and handed over to Yemeni forces a few days ago, and withdrew part of their heavy weapons», explaining that the UAE forces «continues to manage the military situation in the West Coast fully with Yemeni forces in the operations of the coalition led by Saudi Arabia ».
The UAE is a major ally of Riyadh in the alliance announced in 2015, to launch an aggression against Yemen under the pretext of supporting his government.
The newspaper “Wall Street Journal” American revealed that the UAE intends to withdraw most of its forces participating in the war on Yemen, including Almoravidon near the port of Hodeidah.
The UAE is moving to focus its efforts in Yemen on combating terrorist organizations, the newspaper said, adding that the UAE fears that it will become a target for Iran following the escalation of tension between Tehran and Washington, if the latter launched a war against it, the newspaper said.
Last month, Reuters quoted UAE officials as saying that their country had begun to reduce its forces in Aden because of security threats resulting from increased tension between Iran and the United States in a clear exploitation of developments related to the Iranian nuclear file to justify the decision to withdraw.
The aggression on Yemen led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of civilians and military personnel, including the destruction of the infrastructure of the state, the spread of epidemics, diseases and famine in some areas, and about 22 million people, or about 75% of the population of Yemen, Forms of humanitarian assistance and protection.
On the other hand, denied the Yemeni armed forces spokesman Yahya Sari, allegations of targeting the army and committees ship in the Red Sea, indicating that it is pure slander and unfounded and a desperate attempt to divert international opinion.
