The Libyan National Army, led by Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, announced yesterday that it is “able to repel any Turkish aggression, and that its navy will transfer the battle to the Mediterranean.”
The Sputnik agency quoted a spokesman for the General Command of the Libyan National Army, Ahmed Al-Mismari, as warning the Turkish regime against trying to open bridges of military supply in Libya, threatening to destroy any party that would provide support to the regime inside Libya.
Al-Mesmari said: “We detected earlier targets that threaten security in Misrata and warned us about its danger. On Friday night we targeted these targets for the militias in Misurata with a large number of raids. We also destroyed an air defense missile site and reconnaissance departments in Misurata.”
Al-Mismari accused the city of Misurata of paving these days for the entry of the Turkish invasion into Libya, indicating that the air strikes carried out by the Libyan National Army air force are a message to Misratan entities to withdraw their militias from Tripoli within 3 days, indicating that the deadline for the withdrawal of Misurata militias from Tripoli, It will end midnight on Sunday.
Al-Mismari added, “We reject the Turkish invasion and we will resist it if it happened with full force, and we will not stop our raids on Misrata, except when accepting their conditions on our terms, and we warn Turkey and others against trying to open supply bridges with Libya. The Turks transported ISIS terrorists and supporters to Libya.”
On a parallel line, the Speaker of the Libyan Parliament, Counselor Aqila Saleh, called on the international community to remove the cover from the “reconciliation government”, headed by Fayez al-Sarraj.
Saleh pointed out that the agreement signed between Al-Sarraj and the head of the Turkish regime, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, is merely a blackmail, considering that the latter cannot send forces to Libya in order not to cause friction with the Mediterranean countries, and that the Libyans also stand together in a row that refused to send Turkish forces.
